Opportunity win and loss reasons

BEFORE YOU BEGIN  This feature may be hidden in your Autotask instance because it is not activated. If so, you can activate it on the > Admin > Admin Categories > Activations page. Refer to Activations.

Every opportunity, won or lost, provides valuable insights into your sales process. Comparing the primary reasons why you won or lost opportunities over a period of time can help to identify the strengths and weaknesses in your sales efforts.

  • The Opportunity Win Reasons page includes a list of different reasons why opportunities are won. Users can select one of these reasons from the Opportunity Win Reason field when they create or edit an opportunity, and when they use the Won Opportunity Wizard or Won Quote Wizard.

  • The Opportunity Loss Reasons page includes a list of different reasons why opportunities are lost. Users can select one of these reasons from the Opportunity Loss Reason field when they create or edit an opportunity, and when they use the Lost Opportunity Wizard or Lost Quote option.

Autotask provides an initial list of basic reasons, and you can add additional reasons as needed to fit your sales process. Up to 100 reasons are allowed.
